Hello! My name is Melanie and I am in my fourth semester of the Early Childhood Special Education Masters & Credential program. I am currently working as a Special Education Preschool teacher in an inclusive setting that has two classes of 24 children. I’ve been a preschool teacher since 1999 and have worked with infants & toddlers, preschool & parent education programs. One of my favorite parts of the preschool day is circle time. I love to share my favorite books and songs with students. One of my strengths in my work is creating an environment that is warm and interesting for students and invites them to explore and wonder. Building and nurturing relationships is very important to me and I love to laugh and spend time with children. I am SO excited to meet the teachers and students in Vrygrond and I am honored to be a part of this program!
Greetings! My name is Karina and this is my last semester in the Masters and Credential Program in Early Childhood Special Education. I am currently working as a special education teacher in an inclusive preschool, serving children from birth to age six. Most of my experience has been with children and families in low income communities and forming partnerships with parents and caregivers is something that brings me great joy. I look forward to collaborating and learning from the teachers and children in Vrygrond this summer!
